I went on Jenny Craig many years ago and had a bad experience, starving, and not losing anything but my hard earned money. Unless they have drastically changed I wouldn't recommend it.


Two years ago this new years, I ordered Nutrisystem. I was on it for 3 mos. and lost 50lbs.(without starving!). I lost 7 lbs. in the first week and that is what really motivated me to stick w/it. I found that the program was great, because it teaches you the proper things to eat and they even give you a guide of what to order when dining out.

I just finished reading articles about Jenny Craig - no one had a good thing to say. After reading the articles about NutriSystem I am going to try it after the first of the year and will come back to this site and let you know what happens. Thank you.

I have saved nearly $1000 with NutriSystem and 15 lbs in just 2 weeks! Before NutriSystem I would take my girlfriend out to dinner and a few drinks 2-3 times a week and it would cost ~$150 each meal. Since we are both on the plan we spend just $8 a day for NutriSystem foods!

Sure some of the food is awful but you learn quick what you won't order again. Stay clear of the Beef Stroganoff for example. I made the mistake of ordering 5 off these entrees. My advice is to order 1 of everything they have the first month and make note of what you like and don't like.
