So far I have lost 10lbs and my husband has dropped 15lbs. We are under no delusions that this is anything but bloat and water weight but it feels great to see any kind of progress for a change. The best part of the South Beach Diet for us has been the creative way in which we plan and prepare foods. Previously we were in a fast food and comfort food rut. We would eat the same things nearly every week and lived on what we could get on the go. Now we are having to get creative in planning and preparing meals and snacks that will accommodate our busy lifestyle. The only draw back that we have found is the price difference in buying healthier foods versus the junk food. However, I am willing to bear the expense for good food now and spare the expensive of medical bills in the future.
